Trip to the island Mljet

Some poet says aboat Mljet, island of greenness, history and legends: „Its a place where attraction of nature made everything better than human art...“. Shooter island vegetation, extra clean sea water and sandy beaches maks from island mljet one of the most beautiful adriatic islands. For a partialy knowing Mljet you need a whole day whith departure at 8 p.m. and arrival about 5 p.m.

Comfortable daily boats are leaving Korčula at morning. The wester part of the island was pronaunced in 1960 for national park. The most interesting parts are two salt lakes: Big and Small lake, surrounded by pine forrests, which looks like growing directly from the sea. Their temperature is because of limited water circulation 3-4oC warmer then the sea. On the bigger lake we will organize a trip to the Mother of Good island with interesting benedict closter from 12. century.

Sport fans can rent in the port of Polače a bike and circle the island on your own. Dont miss the beaches Saplunara and Blaca with crystal clear water. Polače is well known with historical times: Roman palace an fortness. An old christian basilic is situated in protected bay with mediterrian vegetation which belongs to the National park too.
